Total Solutions Specialist Cleaning used super-heated steam cleaning to restore concrete benches from a bar in Hyde Park.

The Thermatec super-heated steam cleaning system was used to remove mould, mud, chewing gum and dirt from surfaces returning the benches to their original appearance. The Thermatec super-heated steam cleaning system can also be used on various materials varying from corrugated plastic, brick work, toughened glass and aluminium metal.

Not only does this method make materials look brand new but also is great for sanitising as the steam penetrates deep into surface pores, eliminating dirt, grease, residue, mould bacteria, viruses and germs without relying on harsh chemicals.

Well done to the Total Solutions Group team who completed the City and Guilds Level 2 Working in High Risk Confined Spaces course. The 3 day course covered the practical and theoretical elements of how to work safely in high risk confined spaces, use of full breathing apparatus, tools and equipment, following procedures and dealing with emergencies.

All the participants passed the course which will enable Total Solutions Group to self-deliver specialist cleaning, drainage and other services in confined spaces. A special mention must be given to Harry Dean, our Trainee Drainage engineer, who scored 100% in his theory exam!

John Findlater, CEO of the CSSA said: “At the heart of the CSSA is its determination to maintain standards. We’re delighted to welcome Total Solutions Group and their agreement to commit to our code of practice proves that their customers can be confident in the service that they provide.”

2018 has been an extremely busy year for Total Solutions Group as we have extended the range of services we can provide. We remain focused on delivering specialist technical services throughout the UK and pride ourselves on our professional team, quality services, customer focus, responsiveness and fair price.

We wanted to share some of our highlights:

In May, Total Solutions High Access merged with truck mounted access specialists Mobile Platform Hire (UK). The merger extended our access capability beyond spider lifts to truck mounts, which are used extensively for exterior building maintenance, façade cleaning, construction and utilities.

In June, we had a very busy 3 days exhibiting at the Facilities Show, meeting clients and prospects. Our stand showcased our specialist services, with specialist cleaning, high access equipment, drainage solutions and security services all having their own areas.

In July, we announced that Total Solutions Group had become a Recognised Service Provider proudly working together with the Living Wage Foundation. Family values are at the core of our business, and at this stage of our growth we felt that it was important to make the Living Wage commitment.

Also in July, our MD, Sharmin, won the Young Entrepreneur category at the English Asian Business Awards. This was a fantastic recognition of Sharmin’s achievements in growing Total Solutions Group into a multi-million pound business.

In September, we launched SOLVED365, our commercial cleaning franchise. There is demand for our services right across the UK, so we are offering opportunities to ambitious franchisees who, with full training in Total Solutions Group’s methods and procedures, will service both local and national account work under the SOLVED365 brand.

In November, we were delighted to announce that Total Solutions Group has been certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2017, demonstrating our commitment to continually improve our Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety performance.

Sharmin Akter, Managing Director commented: “2018 has been a very busy and exciting year and my thanks go to everyone who has supported us – clients, partners, friends and all of our team. I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous 2019.”

Total Solutions Group announced in July that it had become a Recognised Service Provider proudly working together with the Living Wage Foundation. The team are delighted to be participating in Living Wage Week, from 5th-10th November, for the first time.

The real Living Wage is an hourly rate set independently and updated annually, based on the cost of living in the UK and London. Total Solutions Group has made the commitment to always offer the real Living Wage in all proposals to clients and to paying the real Living Wage to all employees working for their core business.

Sharmin Akter, Managing Director, Total Solutions Group commented: “Family values are at the core of Total Solutions Group and we believe that every member of our team should earn a fair wage that meets the cost of living, and we are working hard to make this a reality. When I set up the company I saw an opportunity to make a difference to other people’s lives, through providing training, good salaries and career opportunities for my employees and I believe that this ethos supports a committed workforce, delivering great service.”

SOLVED365 is a brand new franchise specialising in commercial cleaning. The franchise has spun out of Total Solutions Group; a multi-million-pound, independently-owned, company which was launched by Sharmin Akter in 2014.

The concept behind SOLVED365 is simple. There is huge demand for Total Solutions Group’s services right across the UK, so to meet that demand they are offering exclusive franchise territories to ambitious franchisees who, with full training in Total Solutions Group’s methods and procedures, will service both local and national account work under the SOLVED365 brand.

Sharmin Akter, who was recently crowned Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2018 Asian Business Awards, as well as a Highly Commended in the Entrepreneur category in Asian Woman of Achievement 2018 explains: “We have a phenomenal reputation with our clients and our services are in high demand all over the country. We have a large number of high value national accounts, and we want these to be serviced by our own network of ambitious franchise owners, who have been trained to work to our very high standards. More importantly though, our franchisees are trained and supported to build their business first and foremost through locally sourced work. They do this through networking, great marketing and customer referrals, so when they do get national account work from head office, it’s a really nice bonus for them.”
“This hasn’t been a hastily-made decision and we have developed a formal franchise structure with a British Franchise Association accredited consultant and piloted it successfully. We have undergone a feasibility study and we are really excited about not only what this growth will mean for us, but for the franchise owners who join us.”

“Few services are as commonly outsourced as cleaning. Cleaning remains a necessity and the potential financial, quality and convenience benefits
of outsourcing continue to provide an attractive proposition, even during periods of economic uncertainty.”

SOLVED365 franchisees will be providing commercial contract cleaning services within sectors such as offices, GP surgeries and private hospitals, schools and colleges, warehousing and distribution centres, student accommodation, hotels, care homes, retail and restaurants

SOLVED365 franchisees will enjoy tried and tested back-office services, including call handling, HR and recruitment support, health and safety support, ongoing in-house training, marketing support and 24/7 helpline. The induction training provided is for three weeks and will be a mix of classroom based training at head office and field based training.

SOLVED365 currently has opportunities across the UK, including hot spot areas in London, Newcastle, Liverpool, Manchester, Bristol, Kent, Essex, Surrey, Cobham, Redhill, Gatwick borders on M23 and A23, Reading, Oxford, Birmingham, West Thurrock and Cardiff.
