2018 has been an extremely busy year for Total Solutions Group as we have extended the range of services we can provide. We remain focused on delivering specialist technical services throughout the UK and pride ourselves on our professional team, quality services, customer focus, responsiveness and fair price.

We wanted to share some of our highlights:

In May, Total Solutions High Access merged with truck mounted access specialists Mobile Platform Hire (UK). The merger extended our access capability beyond spider lifts to truck mounts, which are used extensively for exterior building maintenance, façade cleaning, construction and utilities.

In June, we had a very busy 3 days exhibiting at the Facilities Show, meeting clients and prospects. Our stand showcased our specialist services, with specialist cleaning, high access equipment, drainage solutions and security services all having their own areas.

In July, we announced that Total Solutions Group had become a Recognised Service Provider proudly working together with the Living Wage Foundation. Family values are at the core of our business, and at this stage of our growth we felt that it was important to make the Living Wage commitment.

Also in July, our MD, Sharmin, won the Young Entrepreneur category at the English Asian Business Awards. This was a fantastic recognition of Sharmin’s achievements in growing Total Solutions Group into a multi-million pound business.

In September, we launched SOLVED365, our commercial cleaning franchise. There is demand for our services right across the UK, so we are offering opportunities to ambitious franchisees who, with full training in Total Solutions Group’s methods and procedures, will service both local and national account work under the SOLVED365 brand.

In November, we were delighted to announce that Total Solutions Group has been certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2017, demonstrating our commitment to continually improve our Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety performance.

Total Solutions Group, the specialist facilities services provider, has announced that it has been certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2017, demonstrating the company’s commitment to continually improve its Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety performance.

The Welwyn Garden City based firm recently received the certification from Alcumus, a market leading UKAS accredited certification body.

Daniel Looney, Business Improvement Director at Total Solutions Group said “This certification has been achieved through a lot of work by the whole team. We have developed a meaningful management system which helps us to drive our Health and Safety, Environment and Quality culture, and to strive for excellence in the months and years ahead.”

Total Solutions Group announced in July that it had become a Recognised Service Provider proudly working together with the Living Wage Foundation. The team are delighted to be participating in Living Wage Week, from 5th-10th November, for the first time.

The real Living Wage is an hourly rate set independently and updated annually, based on the cost of living in the UK and London. Total Solutions Group has made the commitment to always offer the real Living Wage in all proposals to clients and to paying the real Living Wage to all employees working for their core business.

SOLVED365 is a brand new franchise specialising in commercial cleaning. The franchise has spun out of Total Solutions Group; a multi-million-pound, independently-owned, company which was launched by Sharmin Akter in 2014.

The concept behind SOLVED365 is simple. There is huge demand for Total Solutions Group’s services right across the UK, so to meet that demand they are offering exclusive franchise territories to ambitious franchisees who, with full training in Total Solutions Group’s methods and procedures, will service both local and national account work under the SOLVED365 brand.

The induction training provided is for three weeks and will be a mix of classroom based training at head office and field based training.

SOLVED365 currently has opportunities across the UK, including hot spot areas in London, Newcastle, Liverpool, Manchester, Bristol, Kent, Essex, Surrey, Cobham, Redhill, Gatwick borders on M23 and A23, Reading, Oxford, Birmingham, West Thurrock and Cardiff.

Sharmin Akter, Managing Director of Total Solutions Group, will be speaking at Flood Expo on 13th September at the NEC in Birmingham.

Sharmin’s talk entitled “Cleaning up with the Support of Experts”, will cover the importance of bringing in specialists to minimise flood damage and a summary of the talk is below.

Flood and water damage can bring the risk of financial loss for businesses and home owners, as well as causing stress and disruption. Fast action ensures the best chance of restoring your property back to its original state, avoiding permanent damage and recovering the assets. The clean-up should be handled by experts in damage management, working alongside your insurance company, to carry out building drying, sanitising, cleaning and waste disposal.

Sharmin Akter, Managing Director of Total Solutions Group, has won the Young Entrepreneur category at the English Asian Business Awards 2018.

The award recognises Sharmin’s achievements in growing Total Solutions Group into a multi-million pound business, from its set up in 2014.

In their 7th year, the English Asian Business Awards aim to acknowledge and celebrate the hard work of individuals and businesses who have excelled. The award was presented at a glamorous ceremony at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly hotel on 30th July.

Sharmin commented: “I am proud and delighted to have won this award which is testament to the hard work and customer focus of the whole Total Solutions Group team. Our specialist facilities services offer has filled a gap in the marketplace and we are now providing multiple services to many of our customers.”

Total Solutions Group had a very busy 3 days at the Facilities Show. Our stand showcased our specialist technical services, with specialist cleaning, high access equipment, drainage solutions and security services all having their own areas. In addition, we introduced SOLVED365, our unique cleaning franchise proposition.

The stand was manned by our operational team, ensuring that we were able to suggest solutions to our visitor’s needs and answer everyone’s questions. We were delighted to catch-up with existing contacts and to make new ones, and our ice creams and other refreshments were very popular! Thank you to everyone who came to see us, and for the many great comments we received about our stand design.

Total Solutions, the specialist facilities services provider, has announced that it has become the majority shareholder in specialist abseiling company TechServe Solutions. The relationship will enable Total Solutions Group to self-deliver abseiling services for building maintenance and cleaning, building surveys, graffiti removal, pest control and other applications.

The relationship will also provide the Group with a Manchester facility, important in the geographical expansion plans.

Sharmin Akter, Managing Director of Total Solutions Group commented: “I am delighted that TechServe Solutions has become part of the Total Solutions Group. The highly professional team specialises in abseiling, with an established, loyal customer base. The capability to self-deliver abseiling services will enable Total Solutions Group to ensure high service standards for our customers and offer more complete solutions.”

Total High Access Solutions, part of the Total Solutions Group, has merged with truck mounted access specialists Mobile Platform Hire (UK).

The merger extends the Total High Access Solutions capability with truck mounted high access equipment, which is used extensively for exterior building maintenance, façade cleaning, construction and utilities. Adam Tucker has joined the Group to become the Divisional Managing Director and co-owner of Total High Access Solutions.

Sharmin Akter, Managing Director, Total Solutions Group commented: “This merger will combine the truck mounted platforms of Mobile Platform Hire (UK) with Total High Access Solutions’ fleet of spider lifts. This allows us to offer solutions to the needs of our combined customer base and the requirements of new customers.”
